ppexample_circuit1 - build this project’s own first synthetic test circuit
ppexample_circuit1
ppexample_circuit1 {--help|--version}
ppexample_circuit1 builds a synthetic (not physically real) test netlist directly from netlist.py’s own Netlist/Component/Net dataclasses, runs it through kicad_layout.py’s own generic placement algorithm, and writes the result as packpay-example-circuit1.kicad_sch, alongside a matching .kicad_pro project file, both in the current directory.
This circuit exists to confirm the placement algorithm genuinely generalizes rather than being tuned to fit only one specific circuit’s own shape; its own real topology traces back to a real, physically-built circuit this project’s own generic engine was originally extracted from (see ResearchJournal.org for that history). It takes no arguments, and none are planned: the circuit definition and the output path are both deliberately fixed, since pptest_netlist(1) and this project’s own make check both depend on that fixed path staying fixed.
For real, verified per-symbol pin geometry (the PINS dict this circuit’s own anchors need), see example_pins.py.
-h, --help
Show a usage summary and exit.
--version
Show this project’s own current version (read from VERSION) and exit.
No other options exist: this program’s own real input (the circuit itself) is fixed in its own source, not something a command-line flag could meaningfully vary.
