ppbreadboard_config - parse and print a real breadboard configuration file
ppbreadboard_config
[CONFIG_FILE]
ppbreadboard_config {--help|--version}
ppbreadboard_config loads a real breadboard configuration file describing a physical board’s own assembly — how many sectors it has, each sector’s own real column/row geometry, which of the assembly’s own real rails exist and whether each is electrically continuous — and prints it back, round-tripped through this program’s own writer.
This is a real, direct way to confirm a given file parses as intended. pprender(1) genuinely consumes a config file loaded this same way, throughout this project’s own real placement and rendering pipeline (see its own --config, --use-computed, and --require-config options) — see breadboard_config(5) for the file format itself, and its own RESOLUTION section for how a config file is found when none is given explicitly.
If CONFIG_FILE is omitted, this program prints the tool’s own DEFAULT configuration instead — a single sector with the horizontal rails and no left or right rail, matching this project’s own long-established, single-sector geometry, so a bare invocation always has a real, inspectable config-file representation of "no config file given" to compare against.
See breadboard_config(5) for the complete, real format — every [section] and key, its own real meaning and default, and a real, worked example. This page covers only this program’s own command-line front end.
-h, --help
Show a usage summary and exit.
--resolve-for SCHEMATIC
Don’t load or print a config — instead, print which real config file (if any) resolve_config_path() would choose for a circuit at this schematic path, in real priority order: $PACKPAY_BREADBOARD_CONFIG (if set AND it names a real, existing file), then a breadboard.conf next to SCHEMATIC, then the same filename in the current directory. Prints "(none found)" if nothing exists at any of them. A real, direct way to confirm the lookup itself, ahead of pprender(1), its own real consumer.
--version
Show this project’s own current version (read from VERSION) and exit.
